Itaquera: o futuro nobre de São Paulo

Abstract

O objetivo deste trabalho é demonstrar como Itaquera, na Zona Leste de São Paulo, vem passando por grandes transformações, resultantes de intervenções e investimentos públicos e privados com objetivo de desenvolver a região.Se parte destes investimentos responde a demandas antigas de movimentos locais, por outro lado, o novo ritmo das mudanças, impulsionadas principalmente pela abertura da Copa do Mundo­FIFA, geram intensas mudanças no perfil do bairro e na vida dos seus moradores, além de movimentar e modificar o perfil de negócio e valores dos imobiliários residenciais e comerciais. Com isso, este trabalho visa explanar como isso afeta e muda o perfil da região, das famílias, do comércio e os impactos positivos e, eventualmente negativos, destas transformações e de como ficará a região após estas mudanças
