Resumo
O objetivo desta monografia é estudar a disciplina de Geoprocessamento. Serão apresentados conceitos e características básicas de um sistema bem como as formas de identificá-lo e aplicá-lo com a máxima eficácia.
Será também apresentado o sistema PROARCO, desenvolvido pelo INPE e utilizado pelo IBAMA, com aplicação na área de meio ambiente, mais especificamente controle de queimadas em áreas florestais e reservas.
Studying the subject of Geoprocessing is the objective of this assignment. It will be presented basic concepts and characteristics of a system such as different ways to identify it and put it into practice with a great efficiency. It will be presented as well the systema PROARCO, developed by INPE and utilized by IBAMA, focusing on the environment field, but being more specific on the controlling of the wodland and forest burning.
