A lei geral de proteção de dados: como as empresas devem se adaptar a essa realidade

Abstract

O objetivo do presente estudo é analisar as alterações que a Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (Lei nº 13.709/2018, conhecida também como LGPD) provocou nas empresas e como elas estão se adaptando a essa nova realidade. Inicialmente, serão apresentadas de maneira clara e objetiva as mudanças trazidas pela lei, bem como as garantias individuais dos titulares de dados, em especial o direito à privacidade e à proteção de seus dados pessoais. Será apresentado um estudo da lei em sua essência, seguida pelas medidas que as empresas devem tomar para se adequarem às alterações.The objective of this study is to analyze the changes that the General Data Protection Law (Law nº 13.709/2018, also known as LGPD) caused in companies and how they are adapting to this new reality. Initially, the changes brought about by law will be presented in a clear and objective way, as well as the individual guarantees of data subjects, in particular the right to privacy and protection of their personal data. A study of the law in its essence will be presented, followed by the measures that companies must take to adapt to the changes.
