Abstract

RESUMO Através de um estudo de caso detalhado sobre os sistemas de freio ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), este trabalho tem o objetivo de mostrar a importância e a evolução desse sistema no decorrer dos anos e porque se tornou equipamento de suma importância para a segurança veicular nacional e mundial. No Brasil, o ABS não era um item de série dos automóveis, o que tornava o preço destes mais elevados, porém com a nova legislação (CONTRAN 312), que tornou obrigatório o ABS em 100% dos automóveis a partir de 2014, teremos em breve um novo cenário nacional com a evolução técnica dos veículos e na segurança veicular. O sistema de freio ABS eleva a eficiência da frenagem dos veículos em freagem de emergência, desta forma quando for necessário ele pode salvar vidas ao evitar acidentes. ABSTRACT Through a detailed case study on brake systems ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), this paper aims to show the importance and evolution of this system over the years and because equipment has become extremely important for vehicle safety nationally and globally. In Brazil, the ABS was not a standard feature of the car, which made the price of these higher, but with the new legislation (CONTRAN 312), which became mandatory ABS in 100% of the cars from 2014, we will soon have a new national scene with the technical development of vehicles and vehicle safety. The ABS brake system increases the efficiency of the braking vehicle in emergency braking, this way when you need it can save lives by preventing accidents.
