Abstract

O principal objetivo desse trabalho, é ajudar as pessoas que buscam ampliar o seu vocabulário da língua inglesa com um método simples e prático de se utilizar a tradução através do entendimento de outras pessoas a respeito de uma mesma palavra ou expressão. O sistema web Street Slang permite que o usuário do site possa compartilhar seus conhecimentos linguísticos tanto da língua inglesa como a língua portuguesa, ou seja, quando uma palavra for pesquisada pelo usuário e o significado não estiver presente ou coerente, a pessoa que estiver navegando pelo site poderá inserir seu próprio conhecimento sobre a determinada palavra.The main objective of this work is to help people who seek to expand their English vocabulary with a simple and practical method of using translation through other people's understanding of the same word or expression. The Street Slang web system allows website users to share their linguistic knowledge of both the English and Portuguese languages, that is, when a word is searched by the user and the meaning is not present or coherent, the person browsing the website you can enter your own knowledge about the given word.
