Produção de biogás a partir do melaço de soja

Abstract

Com o crescimento mundial da população, ocorreu uma grande demanda do setor agroindustrial para o aumento da produção do grão de soja. Com o aumento da demanda deste produto também houve maior geração de resíduos e/ou subprodutos do setor, por exemplo, o melaço de soja, fonte de matéria orgânica para a produção de biogás. O biogás é uma mistura de gases composto em sua grande maioria de metano e gás carbônico, é produzido a partir da decomposição da matéria orgânica pela ação de microrganismos. O metano originado do biogás é considerado um biocombustível, que pode ser empregado na geração de energia térmica e elétrica. Este trabalho teve como objetivo investigar a utilização do melaço de soja para a produção de biogás como uma oportunidade de agregar maior valor a este subproduto, melhorar a gestão correta dos resíduos do setor, além de contribuir para a diversificação na matriz energética, por meio da geração de energia utilizando este biocombustível.With the world population growth, there was a great demand from the agro-industrial sector for the increase of soy bean production. With the increase in demand for this product, there was also greater generation of waste and/or by-products in the sector, for example, soy molasses, a source of organic matter for the production of biogas. Biogas is a mixture of gases composed mostly of methane and carbon dioxide and is produced from the decomposition of organic matter by the action of microorganisms. Methane, originating from biogas, is considered a biofuel, which can be used in the generation of thermal and electrical energy. This work aims to investigate the use of soy molasses for the production of biogas as an opportunity to add greater value to this by-product, improve the correct management of waste in the sector, in addition to contributing to the diversification of the energy matrix, through generation of electricity using this biofuel.
