Brailemap : o guia tátil

Abstract

A cartografia tátil se ocupa da confecção de mapas e outros produtos cartográficos que possam ser lidos por pessoas cegas ou com baixa visão. Os mapas de localização táteis podem funcionar tanto como recursos educativos, quanto como facilitadores de mobilidade em edifícios públicos de grande circulação, meios universitários e organizações. O projeto "Braillemap: o guia tátil visa a implantação em empresas com o intuito de proporcionar uma autonomia para as pessoas com deficiências visuais, facilitando a locomoção e identificação dos lugares. O desenvolvimento do mapa tátil de localização e identificação, aponta uma maior acessibilidade nos ambientes. Dessa forma, o objetivo da educação inclusiva não é tornar as pessoas iguais, e sim respeitar e valorizar as diferenças que estão presentes no cotidiano.Tactile cartography is concerned with the creation of maps and other cartographic products that can be read by people who are blind or have low vision. Tactile location maps can serve both as educational resources and as facilitators of mobility in high-traffic public buildings, university environments, and organizations. The project "Braillemap: the tactile guide" aims to be implemented in companies with the intention of providing autonomy for visual impaired people, making it easier for them to move and identify places. The development of the tactile map for location and identification shows more accessibility in the places. In this way, the goal of the inclusive education is not making people the same, but to respect and value the differences that are present in our daily life.
