Resumo
O presente artigo discute a eficiência do Pleurotus ostreatus (shimeji branco) como agente biorremediador em solos contaminados por acetato de chumbo (Pb(C₂H₃O₂) ₂), apresentando o como uma alternativa sustentável em comparação aos métodos convencionais de descontaminação, especialmente em áreas impactadas por ações antrópicas. A pesquisa apresenta uma metodologia quali-quantitativa, com o objetivo de analisar a capacidade do P. ostreatus em promover a descontaminação de um ambiente simulado. Desse modo, a prática do trabalho foi desenvolvida a partir da contaminação de um determinado solo por acetato de chumbo e da inserção do substrato do shimeji, além de serragem de hamster e borra de café, que foram posicionadas em uma divisão de 4 camadas, (substrato > solo > substrato > solo), para a análise das hipóteses. Ao longo de uma semana, foi possível observar que o substrato do fungo P. ostreatus demonstrava um crescimento favorável do micélio do cogumelo shimeji. Com isso, a eficiência do fungo como organismo biorremediador para solos contaminados foi comprovada, demonstrando ser uma alternativa promissora a ser utilizada por órgãos federais, estaduais e municipais responsáveis pelo monitoramento ambiental em regiões degradadas.
This article discusses the efficiency of Pleurotus ostreatus (white shimeji mushroom) as a bioremediation agent in soils contaminated with lead acetate (Pb(C₂H₃O₂) ₂), presenting it as a sustainable alternative to conventional decontamination methods, especially in areas affected by human activity. The research follows a qualitative-quantitative methodology, aiming to analyze the ability of P. ostreatus to promote the decontamination of a simulated environment. For this purpose, the practical experiment was carried out by contaminating a portion of soil with lead acetate and introducing the shimeji substrate, along with hamster bedding and coffee grounds. These materials were arranged in four layers (soil > substrate > soil > substrate) to test the proposed hypotheses. Over the course of one week, it was possible to observe favorable mycelial growth from the P. ostreatus substrate. In total, four experimental procedures were performed; the one described above yielded the most significant results for the study. Thus, the efficiency of the fungus as a bioremediation organism for contaminated soils was proven, demonstrating that it is a promising alternative to be used by federal, state, and municipal agencies responsible for environmental monitoring in degraded regions.
