Resumo
A empresa, SOS-KIDS, visa desenvolver o Brace Kids, um bracelete infantil com sensores inteligentes, para prevenir afogamentos e desaparecimentos de crianças em áreas de lazer. A iniciativa é extremamente relevante diante dos alarmantes dados de 2024 no Brasil: cerca de três crianças e dois adolescentes morrem afogados diariamente, e aproximadamente 55 crianças desaparecem por dia. O Brace Kids
busca solucionar esses problemas oferecendo um dispositivo de segurança que auxilia na prevenção de afogamentos e no rastreamento de crianças perdidas, promovendo a segurança infantil e a tranquilidade familiar. O projeto se alinha com os Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS) 3 (Saúde e bem-estar) e 16 (Paz, justiça e instituições fortes), considerando que o afogamento é a segunda maior causa
de morte de crianças de 1 a 4 anos no Brasil e a quarta para crianças de 5 a 9 anos, além do alto número de desaparecimentos infantis.
The company SOS-KIDS aims to develop Brace Kids, a children's bracelet equipped with a smart sensors to prevent drownings and the disappearance of children in recreational areas. This initiative is highly relevant in light of alarming data from Brazil in 2024: approximately three children and two adolescents die from drowning every day, and around 55 children go missing daily. Brace Kids seeks to address these issues by offering a safety device that helps prevent drownings and assists in tracking missing children, promoting child safety and family peace of mind. The project aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), considering that drowning is the second leading cause of death among children aged 1 to 4 in Brazil and the fourth among children aged 5 to 9, in addition to the high number of missing children.
