A influência dos tratatamentos térmicos na microestrutura do aço 4340

Abstract

Amostras do Aço SAE 4340 serão observadas através de microscopia óptica, bem como o comportamento mecânico será analisado diante dos ensaios de dureza, quando submetido aos diferentes tratamentos térmicos de normalização, recozimento, têmpera em água, têmpera em óleo, têmpera em água e revenimento, têmpera em óleo e revenimento. Com a aplicação do revenimento, conseguimos melhorar as propriedades mecânicas do material, diminuindo a dureza, aumentado a ductilidade e a tenacidade do aço. As microestruturas das amostras observadas com as análises metalográficas, sofreram modificação em cada condição de tratamento térmico.Samples of steel SAE 4340 will be observed through optic microscopy, as well as the mechanical behavior will be analyzed before of the hardness test, when submitted to the different heat treatments of normalizing, annealing, water hardening, oil hardening, water hardening with drawing bach, oil hardening with drawing bach. With the application of the drawing bach, we obtain to improve the mechanical properties of the material, diminishing the hardness, increased the ductility and the tenacity of the steel. The microstructures of the samples observed with the metallographcs analysis had suffered modification in each condition from head treatment.
