This Final Course Project aims to analyze the inclusion of people with disabilities (PwD) in the Brazilian labor market, identifying the challenges faced, the inclusion practices adopted by companies, and the effectiveness of existing public policies. The methodology employed combines bibliographic research with qualitative analysis based on interviews and practical observations. The study addresses disability classifications, human rights, public policies, the importance of mental health, physical and digital accessibility, inclusive education, and the role of leadership in promoting diverse environments. It was found that despite legislative advances, the inclusion of PwDs is still hindered by structural, cultural, and behavioral barriers. Many companies hire only to comply with legal quotas, without providing real conditions for development and retention. In addition, there is a lack of environment adaptation and of managers trained to handle diversity. The research emphasizes the need to promote a truly inclusive and effective organizational culture, one that not only accommodates but genuinely integrates people with disabilities. It concludes that for inclusion to be authentic, a collective effort involving the State, companies, and civil society is indispensable.
