Abstract

A informática está presente em praticamente todos os ramos do conhecimento humano, exercendo sua influência de tal forma que é já é difícil imaginar a vida sem ela. Na música, não poderia ser diferente. Como foi que a informática começou a alterar os instrumentos musicais? Como os computadores estão mudando a forma de se gravar as músicas hoje? Quais são os principais tipos de arquivos musicais e o que sua distribuição acarretou para a indústria? É o que este trabalho tentará mostrar, de forma concisa.The computer science is present in almost all areas of human knowledge, exerting its influence in such a way that it is hard to imagine life without it. In music, it couldn't have been different. How did the computer science change the first musical instruments? How are the computers changing the way to record music nowadays? Which are the main files formats and how does sharing these files affect the music industry? That is what this paper will try to show.
