Abstract

A utilização da informática na área da saúde justifica-se não só pelo grande volume de informação que a prática da medicina manipula, como por possibilitar o acesso e tratamento dessas informações de forma rápida e segura. As ferramentas de comunicação, acesso, recuperação e processamento de informação associadas à internet estão revolucionando as atividades de pesquisa, ensino e assistência ao paciente.The use of the informatic in the area of the health is justified not only for the great volume of information that the practice of the medicine manipulates, as for making possible the access and treatment of those information in a fast way and with safety. The communication tools, access, recovery and processing of information associated to the internet are revolutionizing the research activities, teching and attendance to the patient.
