Análise crítica dos conservantes utilizados em maquiagens hipoalergênicas

Abstract

Maquiagens são produtos cosméticos com função de promover o embelezamento do corpo. Como todo cosmético requer a utilização de conservantes que são substâncias adicionadas aos produtos para inibir o crescimento de microrganismos, evitar hidrólise, oxidação, fotólise, dentre outros, permitindo o aumento de sua vida útil. Como são responsáveis pela eliminação de microrganismos como bactérias que são por sua vez semelhantes as células humanas, tem o potencial de causar irritação a pele. No mercado encontra-se maquiagens hipoalergênicas que são diferentes pela utilização de conservantes teoricamente com menor potencial alergênico. O presente trabalho traz levantamento bibliográfico e comparação entre formulações de maquiagens hipoalergênicas em relação a produtos de marcas que representam o mercado, concluindo que os conservantes utilizados em produtos com apelo hipoalergênico são em sua maioria combinações específicas que suavizam o efeito sensibilizante enquanto marcas tradicionais utilizam conservantes conhecidos por seu potencial alergênico.Makeups are cosmetic products with the function of promoting the beautification of the body. As every cosmetic requires the use of preservatives that are substances added to the products to inhibit the growth of microorganisms, avoid hydrolysis, oxidation, photolysis, among others, allowing an increase in their useful life. As they are responsible for the elimination of microorganisms such as bacteria that are in turn similar to human cells, it has the potential to cause irritation to the skin. Hypoallergenic makeups are found on the market, which are different due to the use of preservatives theoretically with less allergenic potential. The present work brings a bibliographic survey and comparison between hypoallergenic makeup formulations in relation to products of brands that represent the market, concluding that the preservatives used in products with hypoallergenic appeal are mostly specific combinations that soften the sensitizing effect while traditional brands use preservatives known for their allergenic potential.
