Algumas soluções nessa época incluíram a
This paper specifically analyzes the consequences of air pollution caused by burning sugarcane. Years ago, this practice was common in the state of São Paulo, as burning made it easier for rural workers to cut this crop. However, this action produced emissions of gases that were harmful to human health and directly interfered with air quality, causing serious public health problems. Some solutions at that time included the adoption of technologies such as machines for cutting raw sugarcane, environmental education, and sustainable agricultural practices. Despite this, high levels of air pollution caused by burning are currently observed in the state of São Paulo. The fires in the crops spread to protected green areas and reach neighborhoods farthest from the city center. This causes panic and despair in these populations, as they fear that their homes may be consumed by fire. Thus, the objective of this paper is to identify in environmental laws who should bear the losses caused by burning. The paper considers that reducing air pollution is essential to protect the environment and the health of the population.
