Resumo
OBJETIVOS: Identificar as consequências da diabetes gestacional para o feto e os problemas recorrentes que podem causar ao bebê após o seu nascimento. MÉTODOS: Foram realizadas entrevistas com quatro mulheres que apresentaram à diabetes gestacional após suas autorizações. RESULTADOS: A média de idade das entrevistadas foi de 40 anos e todas descobriram o quadro da diabetes durante o exame na gravidez de curva glicêmica. Após o parto, as mulheres tiveram seus níveis glicêmicos normalizados, não necessitaram de medicamentos e foram orientadas a manter o acompanhamento na Unidade Básica, a mudar o padrão alimentar para uma dieta saudável e muita atividade física. CONCLUSÃO: Cabe ao profissional de enfermagem prestar uma assistência adequada e garantir um pré-natal de qualidade, voltado com uma atenção maior ao controle da doença e medidas para seu autocuidado, proporcionando ao paciente o bem-estar.

RESULTS: The average age of the interviewees was 40 years old and they all discovered diabetes during the pregnancy test of the glycemic curve. After giving birth, the women had their glycemic levels normalized, did not need medication and were advised to continue monitoring at the Basic Unit, to change their eating pattern to a healthy diet and lots of physical activity. CONCLUSION: It is up to the nursing professional to provide adequate assistance and guarantee quality prenatal care, focusing on greater attention to disease control and self-care measures, providing the patient with well-being.
