Utilização do chorume proveniente da compostagem em hortas domiciliares

Abstract

With the disorderly growth of the population and the increase in the consumption of food, the generation of solid waste produced by society has increased significantly in recent decades and as a consequence one of the main causes of environmental impacts. Manure, a dark liquid, which contains heavy metals and toxic substances, is the compound produced by the decomposition of organic matter and responsible for harming the environment and its resources natural. However, when properly treated, it can be a material rich in nutrients and with the associated composting technique can become a biofertilizer used in home gardens. The study aims to produce the manure from the composting of organic waste from bark, leaves and remains of natural fruits and vegetables. The experiment will be produced in a residence, using a composter and thus being applied in a home garden with the in order to replace the use of chemical fertilizers by the application of manure organic, from a low-cost technique, sustainable since they are used recyclable materials with low impact on the environment.
