Análise dos impactos causados pela primeira onda da covid-19 ao setor empresarial de Ribeirão Preto

Abstract

Este artigo busca investigar os impactos da crise econômica atual enfrentada pelas empresas no município de Ribeirão Preto, no Estado de São Paulo, sob o contexto das recentes mudanças ocasionadas pela crise de saúde humanitária pela pandemia da Covid-19, que vem ceifando a vida de milhões de pessoas em todo o mundo e trouxe consigo severas mudanças sociais, políticas e econômicas. Nessa última, é onde se concentra o objeto deste estudo, tendo em vista o fechamento quase que total da economia no Brasil, inclusive na “Capital do Agronegócio”, como é conhecida a cidade de Ribeirão Preto, onde as empresas foram drasticamente prejudicadas durante a primeira onda de contágio do vírus.This article seeks to investigate the impacts of the current economic crisis faced by companies in the city of Ribeirão Preto, in the State of São Paulo, under the context of the recent changes caused by the humanitarian health crisis of the Covid-19 pandemic that has been taking the lives of millions of people around the world, and bringing with it severe social, political, and economic changes. In the latter, it is where our object of study is concentrated, in view of the almost total closure of the economy throughout Brazil, including the "Agribusiness Capital", as the city of Ribeirão Preto is known, where companies were drastically damaged during the first wave of contagions of the virus.
