Perspectivas do uso de big data na área médica: uma análise bibliométrica de 1991 a 2020

Abstract

O presente trabalho analisa a relevância crescente do Big Data em relação ao âmbito da medicina, através de estudos bibliográficos e bibliométricos, utilizando como base, o artigo científico “A Bibliometric Analysis and Visualization of Medical Big Data Research” publicado na revista científica internacional de acesso aberto Sustainability. O artigo executa a análise até outubro de 2017, sendo assim, nota-se a oportunidade de atualizá-lo, o que é feito neste trabalho, analisando as publicações até maio de 2020. Os resultados obtidos evidenciam ainda mais a importância do uso do Big Data em diversas áreas, inclusive na área da saúdeThe present work analyzes the growing relevance of Big Data in relation to medicine, through bibliographic and bibliometric studies, using as a basis, the scientific article “A Bibliometric Analysis and Visualization of Medical Big Data Research” published in the international scientific journal of open access Sustainability. The article carries out the analysis until October 2017, therefore, is noted the opportunity to update it, which is done in this work, analyzing until May 2020. The results obtained show even more the importance of using Big Data in several areas, including health.
