Resumo
Com o crescimento do comércio eletrônico ou e-commerce nos últimos anos e com
as nova e diversificadas formas de pagamento, constatou-se que houve também um aumento
significante nos casos de fraudes e clonagens de cartões de crédito, prejudicando a vida de
comerciante e, principalmente, dos consumidores. Neste sentido, este artigo tem por finalidade
identificar a porcentagem de crescimento que o e-commerce obteve nos últimos anos, a
quantidade de fraudes e de estornos que foram realizadas, bem como se dá a utilização da
importante ferramenta denominada chargeback, como medida que visa proteger o consumidor
contra transações fraudulentas, indesejadas e não autorizadas. A metodologia utilizada foi a
revisão bibliográfica sobre o tema escolhido, em livros, publicações acadêmicas, artigos, sites
oficiais. atrelada a retirada de informações e dados obtidos na pesquisa sobre o tema, realizada
pela Confederação Nacional de Dirigentes Lojistas, respondida por 800 participantes, sendo
homens e mulheres com idade superior a 18 anos.
With the growth of electronic commerce or e-commerce in recent years and with the new and diversified forms of payment, it was found that there was also a significant increase in cases of fraud and credit card cloning, harming the lives of merchants and, mainly from consumers. In this sense, this article aims to identify the percentage of growth that e-commerce has achieved in recent years, the amount of fraud and chargebacks that have been carried out, as well as the use of the important tool called chargeback, as a measure aimed at protect the consumer against fraudulent, unwanted and unauthorized transactions. The methodology used was a bibliographic review on the chosen topic, in books, academic publications, articles, official websites. linked to the collection of information and data obtained in research on the topic, carried out by the National Confederation of Store Managers, answered by 800 participants, men and women over the age of 18.
