Resumo
Esse trabalho tem objetivo acadêmico e foi elaborado para documentar o processo de criação e comercialização de um jogo eletrônico. Nossa inspiração para criação de Roda dos Esquecidos (o jogo) foi o romance Capitães de Areia, de Jorge Amado. Assim, como no livro, tratamos de uma época pós abolição da escravatura onde o abandono infantil e a marginalização da infância se tornam um problema social. Foram necessários, além da leitura do livro, assistir ao filme, e realizar muitas pesquisas históricas e científicas, para entendermos como essa problemática era tratada e como era a Bahia nos anos de 1900. O documento está dividido entre Game Design Document (GDD) e Modelo de Negócios, sendo finalizado com um Game Design Canvas (GDC). No GDD incluímos toda a apresentação do jogo: nome, high concept, roteiro, o estilo estético e os aspectos técnicos. No Modelo de Negócios, demonstramos todos os valores e requisitos para montagem da empresa, bem como uma análise do mercado e da concorrência. Por fim, o GDC expõe todos os itens apresentados ao longo do trabalho, num quadro geral.
This work has an academic purpose and was designed to document the process of creating and marketing a video game. Our inspiration for creating "Roda dos Esquecidos" (the game) was the novel "Capitães de Areia" (Captains of the Sands), by Jorge Amado. Thus, as in the book, we address a period after the abolition of slavery, when child abandonment and marginalization became a social problem. In addition to reading the book, watching the film, and conducting extensive historical and scientific research, we needed to understand how this issue was addressed and what Bahia was like in the 1900s. The document is divided into a Game Design Document (GDD) and a Business Model, concluding with a Game Design Canvas (GDC). The GDD includes the entire game presentation: name, high concept, script, aesthetic style, and technical aspects. The Business Model demonstrates all the values and requirements for establishing the company, as well as a market and competitive analysis. Finally, the GDC presents all the items presented throughout the work in a general framework.
