global.
The Brazilian textile industry, with over 200 years of history, is the fifth largest in the world and one of the most comprehensive in the Western world, but it still faces challenges in expanding its international presence, recording a deficit of R$ 5.7 billion in the sector's trade balance in 2024. In this scenario, streetwear emerges as a promising opportunity, driven by the country's creativity and cultural identity, although it faces barriers such as high logistics costs, tax complexity, and lack of infrastructure. This study analyzes the main challenges faced by Brazilian streetwear brands in the export process, seeking to understand how these factors impact their global competitiveness and pointing out ways to strengthen Brazil's presence in foreign trade by valuing authenticity and innovation, so that the creative potential and cultural identity of national brands stand out as differentials capable of boosting Brazilian fashion in the global market.
