Aplicação da fécula de batata-doce (Ipomoea batatas L.) na indústria cosmética

Abstract

Na indústria cosmética, o emprego de matérias-primas sintéticas e naturais para o preparo dos produtos cosméticos e seus insumos cresceu devido a demanda do mercado. Nesse trabalho, buscou aplicações dos produtos extraídos da raízes de Ipomoea batatas L. na indústria cosmética. Com a pesquisa realizada em literatura, percebeu-se um promissor agente de viscosidade em formulações líquidas e semi sólidas, agente termoplástico em embalagem biodegradável e nanocápsulas. O interesse por novas fontes de amido é devido à variedade de raízes e tubérculos cultivados no Brasil para alimentação, mas pouco aplicados em outros setores econômicos.In the cosmetic industry, the use of synthetic and natural raw materials for the preparation of cosmetic products and their inputs has grown due to market demand. In this work, he sought applications of products extracted from the roots of Ipomoea potatoes L. in the cosmetic industry. With the research carried out in the literature, a promising viscosity agent was found in liquid and semi-solid formulations, thermoplastic agent in biodegradable packaging and nanocapsules. The interest in new sources of starch is due to the variety of roots and tubers grown in Brazil for food, but little applied in other economic sectors.
