This work has the purpose of proving by research and experiment, if the plant Crotalaria juncea is effective against the gnat Aedes aegypti, transmitter of dengue and other diseases, being attractive for the dragonfly, which is the natural predator of the gnat. The experiment was carried out in an artificial environment, with larvae of dragonflies and Crotalaria juncea seedlings, for the proliferation of the gnat in the same niche as the dragonflies, but due to climatic conditions, there was no gnat proliferation. Articles published by biologists, agronomists, epidemiologists and entomologists, which show that there is no scientific proof of effectiveness, since dragonflies do not attract flowers because they eat insects in flight, the only reason they come close to flowers is by Account of the insects that are around. Therefore, Crotalaria juncea is ineffective in combating Aedes aegypti.
