Uso de antidepressivos na infância: uma revisão integrativa

Abstract

O uso de antidepressivos em crianças e adolescentes é um tema controverso. Esta revisão integrativa, apresenta como objetivo geral, avaliar a eficácia, segurança e implicações clínicas dos antidepressivos nessa população e também analisar através de uma revisão literária, o uso de antidepressivo na infância e adolescência. E como objetivos específicos, identificar as causas e consequências da depressão na infância e adolescência; conhecer os medicamentos prescritos no tratamento da depressão e destacar a função do profissional farmacêutico na equipe multiprofissional.

The use of antidepressants in children and adolescents is a controversial topic. This integrative review has as its general objective to evaluate the efficacy, safety and clinical implications of antidepressants in this population and also to analyze through a literature review, the use of antidepressants in childhood and adolescence. And as specific objectives, to identify the causes and consequences of depression in childhood and adolescence; to know the medications prescribed in the treatment of depression and to highlight the role of the pharmacist in the multidisciplinary team.
